The First Dream of My Soul

A character can still be a great character without being a good person.

In fact, some of the best characters are terrible people.

Because a character’s worth should be based on how complex and interesting they are, not their morality if they were real.

Wessa or Jessa

Things are heating up so I thought I would put my 2 cents in.
I personally ship wessa. However Jem is one of my all time favorite fictional characters, who possibly could not love him.

The Infernal Devices is a truly unique beautiful work of fiction. cassandraclare is an amazingly talented author who actively engages with her fans, who answers our questions, encourages us to explore her world and the foundation she has imagined. We are lucky to have her, however is she lucky to have us?

Not only has she written this amazing trilogy that will stay with me until the day I die but she has written her own fan fiction. She has taken the time and effort to push her story further for no financial gain, this is purely for us and this is how we repay her? By attacking other fans and spewing hate. The number one theme in this trilogy, the message you are suppose to take from this is that you can love more then one person in your lifetime, that we need certain people in certain times of our lives, that our heart is large enough to fit more then one person. With that said why are we being so hateful?

This is no way to repay cassandraclare or encourage her to continue to give us more Jem Tessa and Will. Appreciate the treat she has given our fandom don’t ruin it by spewing hate. If you ship wessa and you don’t appreciate or believe that Jessa has any merit don’t read the story simple. If you want to express your opinion do it respectably. As I said I ship wessa but that doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying her Jessa stories I’m just greatfull to be able to live in this world a little longer.

Thank you cassandraclare for sharing this with us xo

I like books that ruin me.
I don’t want some feel good shit.
I want it to haunt me for the rest of my life, I want to think of a line randomly and just feel my insides churn because of the emotions it made me feel.
That should be any authors goal.
To inflict such intense emotions that the reader has no other choice but hear the echos of their own voice reading the words you wrote on the page.

That is why I love reading.
